Sungkyunkwan University Office of International Affairs(OIR) is seeking qualified candidates for non-tenure-track faculty positions. Successful candidates are expected to teach International Summer Semester courses from June 28 to July 26, 2024.
There are 36 open positions for courses. Please refer to the attached course list for more details.
★ Application Period: February 7th ~ February 14th (until 16:00 KST), 2024

• Final degree certificate • Employment certificate • Consent form for checking sex crimes and reasons for disqualification (attached form) • Certificate of your visa to stay in Korea (this can be submitted later.) • Course syllabus (attached form) |

Kindly note that submissions are accepted only via email; mail or in-person visits are not accepted.
❍ Application Process
• Application Period: February 7th ~ February 14th (until 16:00 KST), 2024
• Internal evaluation(OIR): February 15th ~ February 22nd, 2024
※ It includes a basic/major examination and interview, although the interview can be waived.
• Final evaluation(Personnel Committee): February 27, 2024
※ Acceptance notifications will be sent via email by February 29, 2024.
❍ Qualifications
• Full-time faculty at another university or equivalent eligibility.
• An individual with no disqualifying reasons for appointment according to the Regulations on the Standards, Qualifications of University Faculty, the Private School Act, and SKKU regulations.
• An individual who does not exceed the retirement age as per the Public Educational Officials Act and the Higher Education Act (as of February 29, 2024, individuals under the age of 65)
• All courses will be taught in English.

❍ Precautions
• All documents must be submitted together by 16:00 KST on February 14th, 2024. If any required documents are missing, you may be disqualified.
• If false information is discovered regarding academic background, experience, etc., the acceptance and appointment will be canceled even after the appointment has been made.
• If the grounds for disqualification are identified based on relevant regulations such as the 'Private School Law,' 'Higher Education Law,' and 'Education Public Officials Act,' the appointment will be canceled."
• As a result of the evaluation process, successful candidates may be required to submit additional documents by the designated deadline. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the appointment.
• Foreigners must hold a valid VISA for all activities related to lectures and appointments at SKKU, and this VISA must remain valid from the orientation date to the graduation ceremony, which is scheduled from June 28 to July 26, 2024. Failure to maintain a valid VISA throughout this period will result in the cancellation of the appointment.
• Under Article 11 of the 'Act on Fair Employment Procedures,' submitted documents will not be returned and will be destroyed in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and the Personal Information Protection Guidelines after the recruitment process is completed.
• Courses may be canceled due to low enrollment, and the decision to close classes will be made in the first week of June.
