Extracurricular Activities

Extra Korean Language Class

All international students can take Basic Korean language courses for 35,000 KRW which includes materials fees. In addition to this program, students may take a more intensive regular Korean course for credit.

Cultural Activities

The stimulating environment of the ISS continues outside the classroom with various extracurricular activities held throughout the program. Extracurricular activities for each year are subject to change in accordance with the program circumstances. Please see below for exciting extracurricular activities we offer for ISS 2017!

                       Everland / Caribbean Bay 



 Korea's most popular amusement park, Everland entertains

 visitors with various rides, festivals, and theme parks. Also

 Caribbean Bay Water Park is part of Everland where not only

 you can enjoy swimming and water slides like the Water

 Bobsleigh and Mega Storm, but you can also relax in hot

 spring waters.

                              Global Forum



 The Global Forum is a unique opportunity for students from

 across the world to share their unique beliefs, experiences,

 and knowledge from many different disciplines, to generate

 fresh ideas during the ISS.

                     Korean Spirit and Culture



 The Special lecture on Korean Spirit and Culture provides

 a basic introduction to Korea's long and rich history, the

 spirit of its people, and its cultural values. You can also try on

 a "Hanbok", Korean's traditional clothing.

                 Korean Folk Village Tour



 Spend a day in Korea’s past at Yongin’s Korean Folk Village.

 This 243-acre living museum recreates life in the late Joseon

 Dynasty (1392-1910), offering over 260 buildings as well as

 lively cultural performances and activities. This was also

 the filming location for many Korean movies and TV dramas.

                             Nanta Show



 Nanta is Korea's unique non-verbal comedy show that

 incorporates traditional rhythm samul nori, which in this

 case is performed with improvised instruments, such as

 cutting boards, water canisters, and kitchen knives. As

 the "must see performance" in Korea, Nanta show will 

 provide fun and exciting time!




                         Barbecue Party



 Delicious Korean barbecue and drinks are prepared for

 students! You will never forget the food, the beautiful sunset,

 a variety of fun games, and the memories of friends.

                      Old Seoul City Tour



 Explore the history of Seoul by visiting Gyeongbokgung

 Palace where the most beautiful and grandest of Korea’s five

 great palaces resides, as well as Insa-dong where there are 

 hundreds of galleries, calligraphy supply shops, antique art

 shops, traditional craft shops, frame stores, Korean

 restaurants and traditional tea shops.
